Dec 2, 2008 - A\pleasure to see traditional JJ. Much as I like the efficicacy of Brazilian JJ grappling and its technical sophistication which is often missed by the casual observer, what Snsei Parker's video shows is the stuff I remember from the British Jiu Jitsu Association syllabus of the 1980s with prof Bob Clark. The range of throws, hooks and locks shown here are clean and smooth - if somewhat contrived - but this 'art'.

Dec 2, 2008 - prof Bob Clark has nothing to do with the british Ju Jitsu association (BJJA). The BJJA's founder was the late James Blundell, along with other founder memders ie John steadman, James Pape to name a few. Prof Robert 'Bob' CLark Is the head of the world ju jitsu association (WJJA)

Dec 2, 2008 - Nice video. The moves also seem similar to Small Circle jujitsu - good for self defense situations. It's cool to see the moves repeated in slo-mo.
