Through its international training program, PDA has trained 2,900 people from 50 countries in innovative approaches to HIV prevention, family planning, adolescent reproductive health and other issues.

Jan 9, 2009 - Sounds to me like this man thinks of "the people" as idiots. His joke about training monkeys to distribute oral contraceptives to women shows he has no real interest in whether any woman has medical risk from taking them. His manner is entirely disrespectful towards his people.

Jan 9, 2009 - The medical risks from having children are easily worse. And in this case the risks from having many children are FAR worse. We're talking about poverty, starvation, and disease in addition to possible complications for the mother. Obviously the actual side effects of the pill, which are rare on low dose pills, are no joking matter. This fellow makes an excellent point by joking that monkeys could hand them out since they could do it and it wouldn't change a thing. The dispenser is irrelevant.
