Nov 21, 2008 - Katie is bad. But with all seriousness, why do we elect idiots to lead us? What about the best mind? Can you imagine - God forbid the discourse of our state if this women was the president of USA? I am sure she wont be happy even if she becomes president.

TuNnL Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Why is Katie bad? She asked a simple question, that hopefully, a 12-year-old kid could answer. The fact that Palin couldnt think of a SINGLE newspaper she reads regularly is shocking to say the least. This woman is Governor of a state?! Thats pretty scary.

lkcl0n3r Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - "All those things under the umbrella of job creation."LOL

ManyFaces1Voice Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - I think this was a bit of mischief. This reporter knew what she was doing and this was a deliberate attempt to make Palin look bad by catching her out on a minor lie on something pretty irrelevant. She should be focusing on the issues and let Palin make a fool of herself without manufacturing something. This is irresponsible journalism in my opinion.

akf2005 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - great point.

AnthoUnplugged Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - what a fucking idiot

tomat0es Says:

muskiskoka Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Palin 2012!

Stocker2124 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - How do you figure? All she said was she read all of the newspapers that she had access to. Therefore she's an idiot? What would you say if Katie Couric asked you what newspapers you read. It was certainly a foolish question on Couric's mark.

Beamshipcaptain Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - She didnt know the countries in NAFTA, or that Africa was a continent, not a country. She knows of no supreme-court cases except Roe v Wade. Ahe is unfit to graduate from HIGH SCHOOL, let alone public-service in ANY country! If she really is the darling of conservatives, one must question the intelligence and morals of conservatives!

jampt1989 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - I'm not convinced she knows what "microcosm" means but if she did, i would give her a lollie for knowing something

TuNnL Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - I completely disagree. Clearly, it's an innocent question that you would ask of anyone in a leadership position. In society, what our leaders and public figures say, do, eat, and even read are all things Average joes want to know so they can "keep up with the Palins." Couric simply asked what newspapers Palin read. If you can't answer a simple question like that, you shouldn't be governor, much less Vice President of the United States.

leoaeris6789 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - also the year the world ends

shawnscool Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - lol ,wtf soo dumb

HUSTLE617 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - I DISAGree with stocker it's not a stupid question it's a simple innoncent question and if she would of asked me that question i would of simply answered it and told her what i read instead of rambling on about some bullshit lol

SexyBabyChic Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Ummmmm....just simply answer the question not give a story about alaska!

am35378 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - In an interview with Matt Lauer she states this:"...You know questions about well, you know, 'what do you read up there in Alaska?' To me that was kind, a little bit annoying because I'm like, you know, 'what do you mean what do I read up in Alaska? I read the same things that you guys read in New York and there in L.A. and in Washington state. What do you mean, what do I read up there?'"Now that I look back at the interview Couric never mentions anything about alaska.

piginthesky Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - What a freaking idiot bitch!!!A GOP staff characterized Palin and her family as Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast. Another suggested that she ordered McCain staffers to buy her clothing on their own credit cards.

ch33s3ynoodle Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - I wonder if Obama couldn't name newspapers that he read, what excuse the liberal media would come up with. Or they may not even run the story! Let's protect those Democrats now and throw all Republicans under the bus!

jdv86 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Fucking, Amen!

Tank611 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - 'I think this was a bit of mischief. This reporter knew what she was doing and this was a deliberate attempt to make Palin look bad'Exactly. This was part of a plan by the McCain campaign to make it look like the liberal media was beating up on Republicans. And it nearly worked.

jak4073 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - I agree with you on the fact that not only this reporter, but alot of others try to make her look bad. But all the reporter asked was what newspapers she read to keep up on issues. Thats the easist question that could have been asked she could have easily named one out of a trillion different newspapers and avoided the whole situation. So i think she kinda messed this one up herself. You can blame the reporter for askn questions, thats what they do. esp easy ones like that.

y760nitro Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - IN THE OLD DAYS they were called SOPHIST:A. One skilled in elaborate and devious argumentation.B. A person who uses clever but false argumentsTODAY THEY ARE CALLED LIBERALSWinston ChurchillIf you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain.

jugganaut35 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Translation: I don't regularly read newspapers.

Cypha1 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - i am sure you could name a newspaper that you read. so do obama and the rest of the world...palin is the only one who failed on that question
