Jan 9, 2009 - I would take a Canon Powershot SX 1 IS (is a bit better than the SX10 IS)

Jan 9, 2009 - From my research, I'd decided on the SX10. The H50 has the burden of memory sticks which can be an issue if you have a Mac; otherwise it's fine. The Panasonic FZ28 has very...what I call "in the box" type audio - it sounds like you are in a box. LOL Also the grip on the Canon is bigger than both of the other cameras.

Jan 9, 2009 - To continue what I posted before (provided my 1st post made it), the SX10's image quality was also superior to the H50 and FZ28.

Jan 9, 2009 - Merry Christmas to me! I got the Canon SX10 as an early present a couple days ago and I am absolutely in love! Still learning and becoming familiar with it but I am happy thus far. I have taken just under 200 pictures so far on top of the time playing with settings and looking through pictures and still on the original batteries. I am happy so far. Two thumbs up.

Jan 9, 2009 - A couple general questions I would like to ask: What should I use to clean the outside of the lens from dust particles or if a fingerprint got on it. Secondly, how much difference would an add-on flash make?

Jan 9, 2009 - hello i just got 1 2day and when i zoom in as far as it goes the quality blows how do i fix this? thanx

Jan 9, 2009 - disable the digital zoom, you never want to use it on any camera...

Jan 9, 2009 - which camera guys?? I am gonna buy Canon SX10 or any alternate to SLR Is it a good camera? I am not a professional photographer but want to buy a very good quality camera.(SLR cameras are too big and heavy for easy carry).Based on the reviews and rating Canon seems to be #1. My budget is $400. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Jan 9, 2009 - Is it possible to insert polarizing filters to this camera?
coaxis314 Says:
Jan 9, 2009 - SX10is looks the stronger all rounded (Not even a canon fan), although 1/2 burst speed of Lumix and fringing is a let down. - what is causing the slower burst?- any tips to reduce the fringing? Thanks
coaxis314 Says:
Jan 9, 2009 - check the flickr group, apparently lens makers have filters that fit.although its not specifically designed for it... multi-role camera, with multi-role lens coating
cameralabs Says:
Jan 9, 2009 - The slower burst is just down to how Canon have implemented the processing and memory buffer. There's some software tricks you can do in programs like Photoshop to reduce coloured fringing - search on google and you'll find some suggestions...

Jan 9, 2009 - Can i ask a question. Do most current pro-sumer digital camera offer MF manual focus like DSLR lenses?

cameralabs Says:
Jan 9, 2009 - Newer models like the 580EXII and 430EXII should be fine... as for older ones, you'd need to check with Canon...
