My background is music video producing/directing. I've been producing/editing reality television for 5 years. I'm a graduate of USC film school. I've been directing shorts and writing since the beginning of time. (Yes, that was a dramatic statement. But it's for emotional effect.) I've drained $12,000 on my first indie right out of college. I drained another $12,000 on a short just a few years ago. Who knows how much I've spent on press kits and promo packets. (shiver). I've optioned feature scripts and I've had my fair share of attornies. (Legal fees suck hole). All that to say -- I have some battle scars and I've yet to land anything major...(at least in "film" land). So I'm going for broke on this one. I'm more of a "creative" than a business person. So as you will see...I will try to explain the business world as it opens up to me in a very low-brow, shallow artistic way just to amuse myself. In short, these are my "video" doodles on my notebook while I listen to a business lecture of life. Of course, I would love partner with a business person so I don't have to worry about these endless mechanics of industry lore.
