Moonrise 2008 InformationIn 2005, just after making Children of the Mountains, which we met Agta Dumagat tribe; a vanishing people and culture, Center for Environmental Awareness and Education (CEAE)decided to embark on yet another pioneer project: the creation of the country´s first ever Environmental documentary filmfest.The documentary inspired us to start the Moonrise Film festival and has been shown in schools all over the Philippines. Bycreating a venue, CEAE hoped to encourage filmmakers to turn their cameras toward conservation and cultural issues.
